Q1ANS California Law No, the California law on this issue doesn't help Sarge, unfortunately. It applies only to persons facing charges that allow for suspended sentences/probation. The charges that Sarge faces at this time mandate prison.

Q5ANS Alan Lubke-first hear I got a copy of an email through the West Point network of the SF Bay Area. Troy Ryder, Class of 1994 had seen a local TV news show and was alarmed. I met with him and two of my classmates for lunch and he gave us the details. The Web site www.supportsarge.com had been set up by Sarge's high school classmates and friends from Los Altos.

Q6ANS Alan Lubke-involvement Besides being a brother West Point graduate, I have experienced my own psychological issues -- depression and alcoholism. I have empathy for Sarge since I know the severity of pain that can overwhelm someone who has PTSD. Click PTSD where I describe my experience with that pain.
